Join in on the fun at this year's Citywide Pet Day scheduled for Saturday, November 5th from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at Owen's Farm located at the corner of Lookout and Plano Rd. in Richardson. 

Each year Citywide has grown and more and more adoptable animals are finding their forever homes. Multiple animal rescue groups bring their animals available for adoption so there are many to choose from if you are looking for that special someone to join your family. 

Many events are planned throughout the day to include animal demonstrations, blessing of your animals, spin to win prizes for the kids, jump houses and a children's activity area sure to please.  There will also be a pet parade where you and your dog can compete for top honors and prizes will be awarded.

Refreshments and snacks are also available for purchase and remember every penny spent goes toward supporting the Richardson Animal Shelter and Animaluv's goal to provide assistance to the shelter for medications, spay/neuter and other projects.

Admission is $1 per person.

Micro-chipping will also be available at the discounted fee of $14/per animal.

Saturday, August 20th, Richardson AnimaLuv held its 3rd annual hot dog splash day for the residents of Richardson and their canine companions.  The day, although hot, was a huge success with record turnout. 

Thanks to Pappy's Pet Lodge and to Petco for their giveaways for the animals.  And of course we thank all of our sponsors who make this day possible each year with their generous donations.

Did you know if you adopt a dog from the City of Richardson Animal Shelter you can have your dog groomed for FREE? 

Lou's Grooming Service will groom your newly adopted pooch for free on the first visit with adoption papers from the Richardon Animal Shelter.

AND

The Velvet Snout will either provide a free groom for dogs under 35 lbs. or a free bath for those weighing over 35 lbs. with an adoption from the shelter.

Mark your calendars to come and find that special addition for your family this summer at the Annual May Adoptathon to be held Saturday, May 7th from 10a.m. - 4p.m. at the Richardson Animal Shelter.

Join in on the fun as local adoption agencies and the shelter provide an opportunity to bring out the family and enjoy hot dogs, drinks, face painting and giveaways while you decide on a special animal to join the family. 

Nail clippings and microchipping will also be available that day for a reasonable fee.
